  • iScala end of financial year processing

    If you need any help with setting up the new financial year, so you are ready for the first business day of january, please contact us as soon as possible - don't wait until 30 December as we have limited resources available in the last two weeks of December and first weeks of January.

    Take care if you run fixed assets as there is a non-reversible procedure that must be run at the right time.

    Remember that most of the end of the year process can be completed at any time.

  • 30 days hath September, April, June, and November...

    Don't forget that 2012 is a leap year when setting up the new financial year periods in iScala. If you've already setup February with 28 days, don't worry, it's easy to fix:

    1.  Take a backup of your company database

    2.  Change the last date of the February period to 290212

    3.  If you already have transactions dated 29 February, then run the special data function "Recreate Balance File" while logged in exclusively
